Petal Pulse privacy policy

This policy explains what information Petal Pulse stores or sends when you play as a guest or use its optional online features.

Petal Pulse · Updated August 12, 2026

1. Who operates Petal Pulse?

Petal Pulse is operated by Kapil Sony. For privacy questions or data requests, contact hi@kapilsony.com.

2. Information stored on your device

The game stores gameplay and preference information locally on your Android device using the app's local storage. This can include:

  • high score, best streak, completed runs, and flower milestones;
  • Petal Token balance and unlocked or selected palettes;
  • onboarding and consent status;
  • sound and haptics preferences; and
  • local limits used for sharing and ad-related game flows.

Removing the app or using the in-game reset option can remove local progress. Local reset does not automatically delete an online account or online leaderboard record.

3. Guest play and account information

Petal Pulse is designed to allow guest play. The current app can use Firebase Authentication to create an anonymous guest session so that the app can distinguish the current player while online features are available.

If you choose to link a social account, the provider and Firebase may provide information such as an account identifier, display name, email address, profile image, and authentication metadata. The app uses this information to authenticate you, show your profile, and associate online game records with your account.

4. Online leaderboard and profile data

When the online features are available and you use them, Petal Pulse may sync a user record to Cloud Firestore. The record can include a Firebase user identifier, display name, profile image URL, high score, best streak, Petal Token balance, referral information, and activity timestamps.

Leaderboard entries may be visible to other players. Online features can be unavailable because of network, permission, provider, or service errors; the game should not treat an unavailable response as a successful leaderboard submission.

5. Analytics and third-party services

The current app includes Firebase Analytics, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Google Sign-In, and Facebook Login integrations. Firebase Analytics can receive app-usage events and technical information according to Google's SDK behavior. The game uses analytics events to understand onboarding and gameplay signals such as tutorial progress, rescue events, and lost lives.

Google and Meta operate their own services and may process information under their respective privacy policies. You should review those policies before linking an account.

6. Advertising and sharing

The current release candidate contains local simulated ad screens for gameplay-flow testing. It does not currently deliver live Google AdMob ads. If live advertising is added, this policy, the consent experience, and the Google Play Data Safety and ads declarations will be updated before that version is distributed.

When you use the share feature, Android's system share sheet may open so you can choose another app or person. Petal Pulse does not control the privacy practices of the app you choose to share with.

7. Data retention and deletion

Local gameplay data remains on your device until it is reset, removed by the app, or the app is uninstalled. Online account and leaderboard data may remain in the configured Firebase services until it is deleted or the retention process is completed.

To request deletion of your Petal Pulse account and associated online data, follow the instructions on the account deletion page.

8. Security

The app and its service providers use platform and service security controls intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Children and audience

Petal Pulse is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Do not use social sign-in or submit personal information on behalf of a child. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review the request.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may change when the app, services, SDKs, or legal requirements change. The effective date shown on this page identifies the current version.
